Introducing CAYA Creative Studios, a brand new digital content studio based in our very own Neighbourgood Workspace at Cape Quarter, in De Waterkant. CAYA aims to meet the needs of Cape Town’s fast-growing internet entrepreneur culture, by providing a space that facilitates flexible content creation across medium, format and genre.
caya
[kai - ya]
(abr.) Create As You Are {C.A.Y.A}
(abr.) Come As You Are {C.A.Y.A}
(trans.) khaya - isiXhosa for ‘house’ or ‘home’
(trans.) kuier - Afrikaans for ’visit’ or ‘hang out’.
The space comprises two fully outfitted studios and an incredible relaxing lounge space. Both studios are outfitted with equipment suitable for photography and videography. In addition, one studio is acoustically insulated and fully outfitted for audio-only and audio-visual podcasting, music production, voiceovers, and more. Beyond the core offering of the spaces they provide, CAYA wants to add value to their client-base by hosting events, activations, and providing services that facilitate an environment of collaboration and community.
CAYA believes that it's imperative in today's day and age for every company to have a diverse, representative, and engaging digital presence. It is no longer sufficient for a company to have merely a basic web presence, or a simple branded social media strategy. For a brand to compete and rise above their competition in today's highly competitive market, they need to be creating value for their customer base through the creation of high-quality, niche, valuable digital content.
The advent of platforms such as TikTok have provided a unique opportunity for highly specific, niche content, whilst formats such as podcasts have provided a space for long-form, highly detailed digital content on specific topics. All over the world, brands have used these platforms to assert and establish major dominance in their fields. Without leveraging this incredibly underpriced access to attention, you risk losing out on one of the most powerful opportunities of our time. CAYA provides equipment and spaces perfectly suited to the production of podcast, video, and photographic media, as well as access to young, talented, affordable videographers, photographers, and producers.
Brad Farrell is the man behind CAYA. The idea came about over coffee with our very own CEO, Murray Clark, and Brad took that idea and built the brand from the ground up. Visit the CAYA website here to see more about what they do or make a booking using their booking platform. CAYA is offering some great opening specials until the end of May 2021, as well as offering Neighbourgood members discounted rates.
