Neighbourgood Turns One!

1 July 2020.

The day we started a company that would bring good to neighbourhoods by making living and working spaces better.

365 days later, 4 locations opened. 4 buildings repurposed, 260 living suites, 270 workstations, a community of almost 300 neighbours… and it has only just begun.

Today, a year after we opened the doors of our first Neighbourgood location, we celebrate our first birthday with you and reflect on the journey that has been. On everything we have learnt. On everything we still need to learn. On how we can be better.

Starting a company in these times requires equal amounts of both hard work and optimism.

The world around us is quite literally in a crisis unlike anything we have ever seen. If logic prevailed, it would be far easier for us to sit back and be bystanders. To wait for better times.

But change requires boldness. It requires action. It requires us to think differently. To act differently. It requires a belief that we can be better. At Neighbourgood, we believe wholeheartedly in the change we want to see in the world and we’re doing everything we can to make it happen.

We believe in the power of community and the positive effect that it can have on people’s lives. We believe that sustainable living requires us to build less to live more. We believe in good. We also believe in celebrating both the big and small wins - so we hope you'll celebrate with us.

So as we look to the future, and to the next chapter of our journey, we want to thank you for believing in us. For believing in our mission.

We promise to continue doing everything we can to bring good to neighbourhoods and to leave the world a better place than we found it.
